Why does your product mask the smell and not eliminate it?  Odor absorbers come in the form of a powder, granules or liquid and need to be added each time your can is dumped.  Also most people transfer garbage from inside the home to the outside garbage in a plastic bag.  This bag covers over the absorber and requires the user to add more absorber each time they add garbage to the can.  Way to difficult.  The goal of GARBAGE FRESH is to allow the person adding garbage to smell a fresh scent when they open the lid and toss garbage in.  GARBAGE FRESH is extremely powerful and will even emit a fresh scent when the lid is closed.

What do the different fragrances smell like?  Fresh Scent has a linen or laundry detergent type smell, Mango smells just like mangos and Spiced Apple has a cinnamon  smell, reminds you of the holidays.

What material is the freshener made of?  A Proprietary fragranced plastic resin which is non hazardous, will not dissolve in or pollute water and is 100% recyclable.

Can I just toss it in the can instead of mounting it to the lid?  We don't recommend this for 2 reasons, #1 you will loose your freshener the next time the garbage men dump your can and #2 it is not nearly effective once plastic garbage bags are heaped on top of it.

How long will it last?  There are a few factors which will determine how long GARBAGE FRESH will last, but in general up to 30 days.  Cans which do not have as much smell and remain closed can see up to 60 days of freshness.  The hot sun beating down on a garbage can will cause the freshener to give off more fragrance which may shorten the life of GARBAGE FRESH.

How big is the freshener?  2 1/2" wide  x 5 1/4" long

Can I use the freshener in my boat?  Absolutely.  The freshener has been designed to be very powerful but there is a way to limit the amount of fragrance given off.  By putting the freshener in an area that has a lower amount of airflow, GARBAGE FRESH will release a smaller amount of fragrance.

Why do you require a 2" space between the freshener and the mount?  For 2 reasons, #1 it allows for better air circulation around the Garbage Fresh unit releasing more fragrance.  And #2 with high summer temperatures the garbage can lid can get very hot which could softnen the freshener to much.  With the 2" gap this is not a problem.

Is there anything special about the mount you provide?  Yes, our mounts use a very high strength 3M acrylic adhesive, with a 20lb side force rating and 85lb straight pull force rating.  They also have a very high and low temperature rating of -35 to +200
